Bush Flowers
$550.00
Bush plants, foods, seeds and flowers are loved and prized as delicacies and medicines. “We go hunting for them at different times. We have lots of different plants, foods, seeds and flowers each with their own Anengkerr (dreaming)”. Plants, foods, seeds and flowers are part of a complex relationship between living people, their country and their ancestors. Anmatyerr people’s ecological and country knowledge is deep and vast informed by lifetimes on living in country. This knowledge ,held in and depicted by paintings ,is considered very important to hand down to future generations. As Inkwareny Artists grows as an organisation we intend to document and share more information on each plant Anengkerr (dreaming).
