Inkwareny Artists is the Anmatyerr people of Yuelamu’s new art centre and gallery.
Where we are going:
For a long time, we have wanted our own art centre in our own community
- so that we can control our stories, make them strong;
- so that we can control our art and artifacts in our place and
- so that we manage our money.
We have started this now. We are building the foundations. We are focused and inspired.
We are a cultural and social enterprise.
Our Leaders:
Inkwareny Artists is conceived by us, seed funded by us, led and operated by us with 100% of monies going back to our artists and our social enterprise.

We went bush shopping with Lisa Mpetyan Cook and Elsie Mpetyan Moore.
It’s always a pure joy to find objects to recycle. The artists love it and they are very creative in recycling these objects.
My sweet, beautiful Daisy Pengard Frank. Every morning, she waits impatiently for someone to pick her up from her home. She transmits this joy to us on canvas because her color palette is always very juicy. I love your colors, Daisy thank you so much to joining us every day 🥰👏🏼
